Who We Are
Adventist HealthCare Limited is a Christian organisation owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, operating several businesses including Sydney Adventist Hospital - NSW's largest private hospital, San Day Surgery Hornsby, San Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, Sydney Adventist Hospital Pharmacy and ELIA Wellness.
Globally, the Adventist Church operates 600 hospitals, aged care facilities and healthcare facilities. A spirit of Christianity has inspired our evolution, and ensured that we live by our values. This means we’re open, inclusive and non-judgmental of all people, regardless of their culture, background or beliefs.
As a not-for-profit organisation, our purpose is to benefit our community (not shareholders). So, all our proceeds are reinvested back into our services and facilities, enabling us to keep providing the best possible care. Adventist HealthCare employs over 2,300 staff members and is supported by 300 volunteers and approximately 1,000 accredited medical practitioners, providing world-class expertise and care for thousands of people each year. Our reputation for exceptional care is built on the continuous provision of leading medical & surgical care, underpinned by the expertise, commitment and compassion of our people, and our faith-based approach to caring for the whole person.
